Newton Longville Church of England Primary School

Headteacher's welcome

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I welcome you to Newton Longville CE Primary School.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart."

We are a welcoming school that prides itself on it's Christian values; where our church vision drives everything that we do so children thrive, blossom and leave this school ready for their next stage in life. This is supported by our values of Compassion, Respect, Aspiration, Friendship and Thankfulness. Our varied and active curriculum is also based on sticky knowledge, so that the children know more and remember more, ready to help them be successful and make a meaningful contribution to the community.

This is a school where we value all stakeholders in our local area and the wider world.  It is not just used for the children but also for clubs and community groups outside of the school day. The links we have with our church, St Faith’s, are very important to us and we enjoy visitors from the church community into our school. Although we are a Church of England school, we welcome families of all faiths and feel that it is critical our children learn about and from other faiths in order to prepare them fully with an understanding of the world around them.

We have children from the village attend our school but we also have children from nearby villages of Newton Leys, Stoke Hammond and parts of Bletchley. They start reception (Shrew Class) from a wide range of pre-school and nursery settings.

Our school is set on large grounds in the heart of the village with a fantastic playing field, playgrounds, gardens and outdoor learning areas for reception and year one children. We are currently raising money for an outdoor classroom in order to enable even more outdoor learning.

We warmly welcome any visitors where our year six children would be delighted to take you around our wonderful village school. Please call the school office to arrange a suitable time.  If there is any information that you require, that you can’t find on our website or would prefer a paper copy, please speak with the office team.

Best wishes

Mrs Judith Trainor
